Shooter and Xfiles I Want To Believe
Just watched Shooter and Xfiles I Want To Believe. Shooter was pretty good but XFiles was a bit of a disappointment and that's coming from an X-Files fan.

Setting up an Ad Hoc WiFi connection on your mobile device
Configuring a static IP address on your WiFi device
Connecting to your Ad Hoc WiFi connection on your mobile device
Setting up/connecting the Ad Hoc WiFi connection on your client device Since the specific procedure on how to connect to Ad Hoc networks greatly varies from device to device (Windows XP/Vista/Sony PSP/MAC/etc...), it's impractical to document each possible combination. In general just fire up your client and search for nearby networks, making sure you're not only looking for access points, but also peer-to-peer (Ad Hoc) networks. This (looking for both types of network) is the default with desktop Windows Wi-Fi clients, other platforms might be needed to be manually instructed to list available Ad Hoc connections. Installing the hacked Internet Sharing application
Connecting & Sharing the Internet via Wifi
Workaround for the 10 minute timeout You may notice, at least on my device, that "Internet Sharing", at exactly 10 minutes of usage, disconnects from the Internet, while you AdHoc WiFi stays on. This timeout is built into "intshrui.exe". Remember in the previous procedure how the status displayed as "Check USB cable connection", the status line needs to change to "Connected" for the timeout not to occur. This is how:

Mueller Park - Woodland Park, CO to Cripple Creek, CO - Google Maps
Mueller Park - Woodland Park, CO to Cripple Creek, CO - Google Maps
Went to Mueller state park between Woodland Park and Cripple Creek (Colorado) for sledding with our visiting relatives and had a lot of fun. $6 per car. My son's feet almost got frostbite which was pretty scary but he's fine. I would definitely recommend this park for sledding around here when there's not enough snow in Colorado Springs.

Shoes thrown at President Bush!
Now that's pretty weird. Kudos to the pres for good reflexes ducking out of the way. Imagine the jokes if he wouldn't have ducked successfully.
Take a search through youtube for the video. Here's one link on youtube for the shoe fiasco, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9uIj0YvDBKE

Shazam like win mobile app for the 6800? - PDAPhoneHome.com: "Song Recognition Cab (Update 10/2 - PPCGeeks"
Looks like "Music ID" works for windows mobile. Just tried id'ing two songs (one in a noisy subway restaurant) and it worked great. Here's the link: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=4763.
Also, looks like a version of Pandora is ready for windows mobile. I found it here in these forum threads:

Amazon Kindle and Sony Reader. Nice!
I played with the sony reader the other day and was really surprised. If you haven't seen the screen, its a little crazy when compared to all the screens used by cell phones and pda's. I actually thought it was dummy display because the text looked so good I thought it was fake. Its really nothing like a pda/cell phone screen. I wouldn't mind having the Amazon Kindle at all now, but the price is just too steep right now.
Tired of the windows mobile screen. Love the Touch's screen.
I'm just getting tired of this winmo device whenever I play with my ipod touch's onscreen keyboard. And its not just that. Its really the responsiveness of the screen in general. It gives the whole device a much better feel than my xv6800. But I did notice that maybe Apple did their homework in the usability department. The touch's screen is just a bit wider than my xv6800 screen. It makes quite a bit of difference when it comes to space used by the onscreen keyboards of each device. Ho hum. I just can't switch to ATT with our current contracts on our family plan. Maybe that blackberry storm will end up working for me when I can do the new every two again in 1-2 months.
